Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PolymathClaw ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers.

Description of Service

PolymathClaw is a managed hosting platform for OpenClaw, an open-source AI assistant framework. We provide dedicated infrastructure, channel integrations, and ongoing maintenance. You provide your own AI model API keys (BYOK — Bring Your Own Key). We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated output.

Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide a valid email address.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Each account includes one dedicated OpenClaw instance.

Payment & Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly on a recurring basis via Stripe.
  • All prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes.
  • We may change pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice.
  • No refunds are issued for partial months of service.
  • If a payment fails, we may suspend your instance after a 7-day grace period.

API Costs & Third-Party Keys

PolymathClaw provides managed hosting infrastructure for OpenClaw. AI model API costs are separate:

  • AI model API costs (from providers like Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Groq, Mistral, OpenRouter, etc.) are billed separately by your chosen provider and are your sole responsibility.
  • PolymathClaw does not control, monitor, or limit your API usage.
  • AI agents can consume significant tokens through automated tasks including heartbeats, cron jobs, sub-agents, and browser automation.
  • We strongly recommend setting a monthly spending limit directly in your API provider's dashboard before connecting your key.
  • PolymathClaw is not liable for any API charges incurred through your agent's activity.
  • Your API keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest. We decrypt keys only to inject them as environment variables into your container.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Engage in any illegal activity or violate any applicable laws.
  • Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or abuse connected channels.
  • Attempt to circumvent service limitations or abuse the platform.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service (OpenClaw itself is open-source under the MIT license).
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without prior written agreement.
  • Use the AI models to generate content that violates the respective model provider's usage policies.

Intellectual Property

  • The PolymathClaw brand, website design, and proprietary platform code are owned by PolymathClaw.
  • OpenClaw is open-source software licensed under the MIT License.
  • Your conversations, data, and custom configurations remain your property.
  • We claim no ownership over content generated by AI models on your instance.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

  • We are not liable for the accuracy, quality, or appropriateness of AI-generated output.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Service Availability

  • We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee it.
  • Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.
  • We are not liable for downtime caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

Termination

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Your service continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, with notice when possible.
  • Upon termination, your instance is shut down and your data is deleted within 30 days.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
